Every Jot and Tittle - Part 2

Let us look at Exodus31:32 "31: And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

32: And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent33: And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

34: A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

35: And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.."

According to verse 35 if Aaron did not where this, then he could not go into the place, or out, lest he would die! That is a pretty serious statement. You see all the garments were important, but this one was the most important. One would have to ask, what did this garment stand for? What was the prophetic interpretation for this garment in the royal priesthood established since the resurrection of our King?

Number one, notice the color of the garment. The color was blue. We can also see that the veil made for the covering of the Holy of Holies was made of 3 colors. Lets look in Chronicles.

"2Chron:3:14: And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon."

There is 3 colors on it. Now this veil also is a whole other study, but i will tell you about the colors. The veil was a prophecy of JESUS. You see, blue stands for the color of the heavens, standing for where GOD dwells. Red is the color of the Earth, symbolic of man. You notice that purple is a mixture of the two. Whoa! So now we see that JESUS was fully GOD and fully man.

You also see that the color of the garment on the high priest was blue. This was the most important garment. Instructions of the robe said it had to be put on over the head. This garment stands for the HOLY SPIRIT. Even the way the priest had to put it on, notice it was over the head. The HOLY SPIRIT clothes us from the heavens, and is symbolic of being put on over the head! Note what JESUS said in Luke once again.

"Lk:24:49: And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be clothed with power from on high."

What were the apostles clothed with? If you look in Acts 1 it was the HOLY SPIRIT, which clothes us from on high! Hallelujah! There is something else different about this garment! What is different is this

"Lev.31:32.. And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent33:"

What is different is that this garment could not be torn whatsoever! This is the reason that the garment had a binding at the hole at the top. It had extra material to hold down the collar hole, to ensure it couldn't be torn on accident! You see, there is a Jewish practice that in anger a man would reach up and tear his collar back then! Therefore the instruction was given to let the high priest know "Don't you dare tear that collar when you get mad!"

"Ex:39:23: And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend(tear)."

"Lev:10:6: And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend(tear) your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled."

What happened here is that 2 of Aaron's sons sacrificed and unauthorized offering before GOD, and GOD struck them because of their lack of obedience to the command. Notice here that GOD was giving instruction to Aaron and his sons for 2 reasons. Number one, because they had disobeyed the command of GOD and they were in the middle of the consecration which took 7 days. Number two, GOD had ordered that the robe be made not to tear. You see he also laid out the penalty for tearing the robe in this scripture. GOD would have put them to death for a number of reasons. First, because they were being consecrated, and they had to be pure. You see, if they would have mourned like most Israelites of the time, who tear their neck collars when they lost a loved one, they would have died because it was during the consecration week. Also, GOD had the garment made not to tear, and he laid down the consequence for it. If you tore that robe, you nullified your office, and the consequence of that action as laid out is death. To add, Aaron's two sons had acted in disobedience, and if the Israelite community would have mourned for two men who acted against GOD and were justly judged for it, then they would have been discontent with GOD's decision. Nevertheless, we see the penalty for ripping the robes were nothing less of death. Something normal for a priest was for the priest to have to put a rope around him, lest he would even do one wrong act. They would be struck dead because of disobedience, because the priests were interceding on the behalf of the people. It was also symbolically prophetical of the priesthood of today. GOD was laying down just how holy he was during that time, in order that today, we could understand the greatness of his grace and mercy. Also to add, here was another command directly laid out.

"Lev:21:10: And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;"

You see the penalty for rending their clothes is nothing less of death! Just as if you blaspheme the HOLY SPIRIT it is the unforgivable sin, you can not turn your back on the HOLY SPIRIT!

Now back to JESUS who was the priest forever in the order of Melchizedec: Remember he had already received the water immersion by John to pass on the mantle of the Aaronic priesthood over to the new priesthood continuing in the order of Melchizedec, in which JESUS became a priest when he was immersed. You see there was one problem still there though before JESUS could carry the full mantle of the new priesthood with the sacrifice. Caiaphas was still in office of high priest. Even though he was not supposed to be the high priest, yet GOD honored the office. If you even look, even without knowing it, Caiaphas prophesied about what JESUS was going to do when he received the full mantle of the priesthood of Melchizedec.

"John 11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50: Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51: And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52: And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad."

Even though Caiaphas was not supposed to be the high priest, yet GOD still honored the office. Note though that Caiaphas had the anointing, and the HOLY SPIRIT was upon him. You see though GOD has perfect timing, nevertheless.

Remember When Y'SHUA was standing before Caiaphas in Matthew chapter 26vs57, and they were before many witnesses.

"57: And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled."

Remember they were questioning Jesus. Remember that the Word says that JESUS was staying silent, and would not make his own defense.

"Matthew Chapter 26: 63: But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

64: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."

The reason that Y'SHUA answered Caiaphas was because of Leviticus 5:1" 1: And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity."

Notice the verses above and the situation.

"59: Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

60: But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

61: And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

62: And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

63: But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living GOD, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God."

You see JESUS was being falsely accused. Then the high priest according to the scripture had the right to make him answer the truth in the name of the living GOD. According to Leviticus 5:1, JESUS had to answer. If he did not answer he would have been guilty of trespass, according to the law. Notice also how JESUS would not answer directly before this. He already had two witnesses falsely accuse him, and when Caiaphas said" I adjure thee by the living GOD, that thou tell us whether thou be the CHRIST, the son of GOD", JESUS knew he had to tell the truth, in order to fulfill the law.

We know that JESUS had to acknowledge who he was, or else he would have been guilty of trespass, because in this situation the priest, according to the law, had the right. Now notice how his answer angered Caiaphas.

"Mt:26:64: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."

  • This absolutely infuriated Caiaphas and the rest. The reason is because Caiaphas knew where JESUS was referring to in scripture. You see a priest in the order of Aaron was very disciplined. By the age of 5 they would have the first 5 books of Moses memorized! They would have 3 sections of scripture memorized by the time they were 30. The books of Moses, prophets, and sacred writings. So Caiaphas knew the law very well. Infact at that whole counsel was composed of men who most likely had the law memorized. These were men who knew the law like the back of their hand. Caiaphas knew that Y'SHUA was quoting Psalms 110. Here is Psalms 110

"1: The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

2: The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

3: Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

4: The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.( Something else interesting here is that if you look at verse 4, This is the seventh time this specific phrase is written in the scriptures. Seven is the number of perfection, or completeness. This is very symbolic).

5: The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

6: He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

7: He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

  • Caiphas knew that Y'SHUA was claiming that he was the one prophesied to come in this Psalm by David, referring to the priest in the order of Melchisedec. Caiaphas got extremely upset by this, JESUS absolutely was not the idea of what these men were expecting the Messiah to be like. Infact he got so upset look what he did in the next verse.

"Matthew 26: 64: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

65: Then the high priest rent(tore) his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy."

Remember now what section of clothing that a Jew would tear in anger since the days of Moses, it was the collar! What was the command back in Leviticus?

  • ""Lev:21:10: And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend(tear) his clothes;"

Remember that a high priest was to be put to death for this, and he also nullified his office. GOD knew in advance this would happen. Now this meant trouble because:

      1. Caiaphas was the high priest, and he nullified his anointed position.
      2. The next day a Passover offering was to be offered up, one at 9am and one at 3pm.
      3. Since Caiaphas tore his neck, he was to be condemned to death, but even more, there was now no high priest to offer up this offering. There was also no way to prepare a priest to make this offering, because the consecration took seven days according to the law. The high priest was to be there, dressed and be the head over that sacrifice. The sacrifice had to be fully consume, and he had to be a witness. He had to absolutely make sure that every detail was followed, or he would be responsible. He would then declare " dagmar which means {it is finished}!" The people were in trouble, because Caiaphas was no longer qualified, and Israel no longer had a high priest. Every high priest had to do this through every generation according to the law!
      4. To top all things of, the room was full of witnesses who witnessed what he did, and the scriptures say to let everything be established by the presence of two or three witnesses! When all the people in the room witnessed what happened, they knew exactly what had just happened. Every man sitting in that room knew the law like the back of their hand. Your not just talking a normal Jew, you are talking Jews who, like Caiaphas, had the whole Old Testament memorized! They all saw that Caiaphas tore his robe, and knew that he was not qualified to be high priest, therefore he could not offer the offering the next day. Not only that they failed to do their duty when they let Caiaphas get away with what he did without receiving the due punishment.
  • Now we can see the full picture of what happened when Caiaphas tore that robe.
  • Remember that the Old Covenant was prophetical of what was getting ready to happen in the life of Y'SHUA, the priest in the order of Melchisedec, and with the believers. Now being the priest in the order of Melchisedec, remember that he had to wait for the Aaronic priesthood to pass away, so he could receive the full mantle of this new priesthood in the order of Melchisedec. So looking back earlier in this study remember what happened with John. John was the real high priest by blood and right, and when he baptized Y'SHUA he passed down the mantle of the priesthood. The only difference was that instead of switching to a new priest in the order of Aaron, He was passing it on to a new priest in the order of Melchisedec. Now this still left one problem, JESUS still could not receive the full mantle of the Aaronic priesthood. Caiaphas was in the high priest office, even though he was not by birthright supposed to be the high priest. GOD still honored the position, because notice even through the HOLY SPIRIT he prophesied about JESUS death. What actually happened that night when Caiaphas tore the collar on the robe, he nullified the high priest position. It was then that the full mantle of the new priesthood went onto JESUS shoulders. You see, when that happened, Y'SHUA was under the full mantle of being the priest in after the order of Melchisedec.

Therefore you see it was ok that there was no priest in Israel to offer up the Passover lamb the next day. There was a Great High Priest, and he had received the full anointing of the priesthood after the order of Melchisedec. You see the next morning at nine-o clock in the morning the Passover lamb would be offered up! GOD's timing is so perfect!!!!!!! Glory to GOD, because the next morning the true Passover Lamb of GOD that would take away the sin of the world would be sacrificed!!!!!!!! The great High Priest Y'SHUA Ha'Mashiach(JESUS CHRIST), a priest in the order of Melchisedec, was going to be sacrificed so that we could live! Hallelujah, Praise the LORD GOD JEHOVAH!!!!! WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

" John 10: 17: Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18: No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

Now a priest is not a priest without an altar and a sacrifice. He laid down and sacrificed his pure sinless life and body, the most holy sacrifice that could ever be offered up, the life of GOD in the flesh! Remember only a priest could offer up a Passover Lamb or any sacrifice before GOD! When did JESUS become a priest? When John the descendant of Aaron baptized him. Also remember that a covenant was not made unless a sacrifice was made to usher in that new covenant! When a new priest was anointed for a new covenant there had to be a sacrifice. Remember that JESUS is our Great High Priest who would offer up his own life to take away the sins of the world.

"Jer:31:31: Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:"

JESUS could truly receive the title of High Priest when Caiaphas tore his robe and the full mantle of being a High Priest after the order of Melchisedec came on him. Jesus indeed was the Great High Priest who ushered in the new and most perfect covenant with his own blood! He was indeed the spotless Lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world! Hallelujah!

Let's look more in detail at what happened hereafter now.

  • "Hebrews 10: 11: And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"

You see according to the law the priest would not sit down until both of the sacrifices were offered up, the one at nine 'o' clock, and the one at 3 o clock. JESUS did stand for those 6 hours on the cross as you can see, and he was standing painfully on those nails as he, the true Lamb of GOD, was offering himself up for the sins of the world.

Let's remember, that the priests were offering up the Lamb at 9 'o' clock, and one at 3 '0' clock! Now you have to remember that the Hebrew day started at 6 'o' clock am. Let's see when JESUS was crucified:

"Mk:15:25: And it was the third hour, and they crucified him."

JESUS was crucified at 9am, and he fulfilled the first offering of the Passover Lamb at 9am. Hallelujah! Now something else interesting is that there were to be three offerings sacrificed on this particular day. The 9am sacrifice, and one at 12pm, and last of all the Passover Lamb at 3pm. Remember at 3pm the next Passover Lamb was sacrificed, and they both had to be fully consumed!

"Mt:27:45: Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour."

This verse says that there was a mysterious darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. So basically from 12pm to 3pm there was darkness. Most scholars say this was an eclipse, but the Passover was always done on the day of a full moon. There was no way an eclipse could have happened on that day. The darkness was a supernatural darkness. This darkness was sin raging across the world, the sting of death thinking that it had overcome GOD! If you also look at writings of some historians of the time, they report darkness filling the land on the same day!

Remember now that 2 sacrifices had already been offered up on that day.

"Matthew 27:46: And about the ninth hour JESUS cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47: Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elijah.

48: And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49: The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.

50: JESUS, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."

    Hallelujah! Glory to GOD!!!!!!

  • "Luke 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

45: And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

46: And when JESUS had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."

Here we see that JESUS died at 3pm. The scriptures say at this time he gave up his spirit. What an amazing fulfillment because at 3pm the Passover Lamb was sacrificed and fully consumed in the temple, and our Great High Priest in the order of Melchisedec had fulfilled the sacrifice! Hallelujah, Glory to GOD MOST HIGH! Whew! Praise the KING OF KINGS! Glory to the LAMB Y'SHUA the Messiah!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!!!!!!!!

Let's also remember that in the temple there was an altar that the sacrifice had to be offered upon. If we look in the Old Testament laws this altar had to be made of wood and bronze. Archeology has shown that spikes were made of bronze back then, these spikes were big enough and strong enough to be able to hold up their colossal structures. Now iron was also a weak metal too. So note the altar was wood and bronze, and it wasn't just iron nails put into him, but most archeologists and scholars know that it was bronze spikes but into our LORD's body. You see that he fully died on an altar of wood and bronze! Praise GOD, our GOD doesn't miss one detail! Glory to our FATHER GOD and LORD Y'SHUA Ha'Mashiach!!!!!!!!!

Now what about JESUS's garments? Let's look at John 19.

"23: Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his tunic: now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

24: They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did."

Remember now that the tunic could not be torn, and Hallelujah, GOD didn't miss one detail!!!!!!! Not even JESUS's garment was torn. The garment was kept intact, so that not even his garment was torn, and every aspect of our Great High Priest was fulfilled! Glory to THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!!

When soldiers came to JESUS, they had broken the legs of the others, but they instead pierced JESUS side. Remember out came blood and water.

"Jn:19:34: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water."

Now blood and water is the sign of sacrifice (remember Elijah's ordeal in 1 Kings 18). Most people also know that our LORD JESUS heart had ruptured and exploded, and that is why blood and water poured out when he died. Praise to GOD for his amazing love!!!!!!! You see, it was our sins, yours and mine, that killed our merciful loving GOD! Let us Praise our GOD with thanksgiving for that!!!!!!!!!

It literally broke our LORD Y'SHUA's heart. Thank you so much ABBA FATHER GOD, and thank you LORD JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Joel:2:13: And rend(tear) your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and relents from sending calamity."

JESUS truly did fulfill every single tittle and Jot, Hallelujah, thank you LORD Y'SHUA for what you did! Thank you FATHER GOD!!!!!!!!!!! He had his heart torn and explode for us!

Now remember that there were also 3 lambs sacrificed on Passover. On every other day of the year there was a morning Lamb at 9am, and an evening Lamb, at 3pm. This day is Passover though, so today there must be the Passover Lamb offered. So remember as stated before on this day was the one at 9am, the one at 12pm, and last at 3pm. So we see two lambs must die, and also the Passover Lamb without blemish!

Now remember that there were 3 people who died that day. Remember on any ordinary day a morning lamb was offered up, and a evening lamb at dark. Remember JESUS was the fulfillment of all of these, but it is very symbolic that one thief rails at JESUS insults, and the other thief asks JESUS for mercy, and remember what JESUS told him.

"Luke:23.39: And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

40: But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

41: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

42: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."

Hallelujah, everything was fulfilled on this day. Sadly, one thief died in the darkness of his sins, and the other thief died with his sins washed in the blood of the Lamb! Hallelujah, Praise be to our GOD of Mercy!!!!!!!!!!! So we see here three crosses, one for the morning Lamb, one for the evening Lamb, and the third reserved for the Passover Lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glory to GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"1 Corinthians 5:7: Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even CHRIST our Passover is sacrificed for us:"

Now remember there were also other ceremonial rites according to the law of Moses done to prepare and anoint a priest. Lets look in Leviticus 8

"22: And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

23: And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

24: And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about."

This rite was done for the anointing of the priest. The blood had to be put on the ear, thumb, and the toe. Now remember on Calvary that JESUS blood ran from the crown of thorns on his ear, from bronze spike nails in hands the blood flowed onto his thumbs, and from the nails in his feet, there flowed blood onto his big toes! Hallelujah, also remember in Vs 30 of Leviticus. " 30: And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him."

Remember that JESUS had the alabaster box full of ointment poured out on him!

"Mt:26:7: There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat."

You see that Y'SHUA had fully taken on the priesthood after the order of Melchisedec, and down to the very letter he had fulfilled the law! Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!! Glory to the LORD GOD JEHOVAH JAIREH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last but not least remember when the Priest would finish offering up sacrifice, they would declare "dagmar" when the sacrifice was totally consumed. The English equivalent of dagmar is "it is finished!" Let's remember this scripture in closing:

"Jn:19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

Praise be to our GOD most high, and his blessed son Y'SHUA who fulfilled and finished every work of sin in our lives, so that we could be consecrated as a "royal priesthood of the GOD most high!"

May GOD bless you all in JESUS(Y'SHUA's) most holy name i pray for you sincerely

    Amen and amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
